This is my story about how and why I started this blog – I had to learn to never say never at first!
Five years ago, I had four kids, ages 8, 6, 3, and 1. We lived in Okinawa, Japan while my husband served in the U.S. Air Force. A sweet friend of mine and I were talking about kids one day and she asked, “Have you ever thought about starting a blog?”
My response: “No way! How would I ever have time for that? That is something I will never do.”
Fast Forward
Well, fast forward several years, and if you’re like me, your life is now a refection of all the things you said you’d never do!
I was never going to get married to anyone in the military, have kids, definitely never drive a minivan or homeschool, or start a blog or a business of my own.
I’m so glad I didn’t know much about what I really wanted when I was younger.
So after several different friends encouraging me to dive in, and finally developing a platform of my own – to help moms learn how to live mom life on purpose – here I am.
Now is the Time
Five years ago was not the right time for me to start this blog. I still had a long journey of self-discovery yet to take.
But in the past five years, along with adding our fifth child to complete our family and coming home to America, I have also begun to understand what it means to feel complete as a mom, wife, and woman.
I’m learning a whole lot about intention and living with authenticity. I am passionate about becoming the woman I have been designed by God to be.
I’m so excited to learn and grow with you, friend, and for all the adventures we will have together. I hope you’ll come here often to feel motivated and inspired.
Check out my about page to learn more about me and why I created this website (it was a STRUGGLE, let me just tell you!), tell your friends, and let me know in the comments below what things you said you’d never do but are currently pursuing!
I’m here to cheer you along your motherhood journey.
And remember, never say never!
